May - July, 2009. New exhibits from Shatura

After much hesitation, spring 2009 saw the final closure of Shatura peat railway, once leading narrow gauge system of Soviet peat industry. Modern equipment was offered for sale, vintage - destined for scrap. So efforts were taken to save as much as possible.

In May - July several riveted 8-ton Ust-Katav flats, Kolomna 1930-es IV class coach, pre-revolutionary saloon and a boiler of 1918 class 63 locomotive were resqued from Shatura, Baksheyevo and Kerva.
